Privacy

This is a structural property, not a policy promise. There is no server that could receive your data, no database to store it in, and no account to attach it to.

Two small entries, neither containing anything you typed into a calculator:

• fpatb:session — a random identifier held in session storage for the life of the browser tab. It exists only so that re-running a calculator in the same sitting is not counted as a return visit.
• fpatb:tool:<name> — in local storage, records which calculator you used and how many separate sittings you have used it in. It holds a tool name and a count.

Neither stores a figure, a file, or anything identifying you. Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes both, and the calculators work exactly the same without them.

Where analytics is enabled, this site uses Plausible: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data, and no advertising. It records aggregate page views and a small set of named events — that a calculator was viewed, that it produced a result, that an export was downloaded, and that a calculator was used again in a later session.

Those events carry the name of the calculator and nothing else. The figures involved are never part of them.

The box at the bottom of each calculator opens your own email client with a message prepared. Nothing is sent until you send it, and if you close the draft nothing leaves your machine.

If you do send it, the message arrives at FP&A Toolbox by email and is forwarded to a personal inbox, along with your email address as the sender — the same as any email you write. It is used to answer you and to decide what to build next.
